Mr. Greg Radford of Kent Institute of Business and Technology – Australia held a free learning session about the Diploma of Business and Diploma of Marketing last April 23, 2010 at the Luigi’s Bar and Restaurant, GregDom Building, SDCA Campus. It was attended by students and professionals who were interested in taking up these one year programs.

St. Dominic College of Asia gave due recognition to its employees and faculty members during the Fellowship and Service Award Ceremony held last March 6, 2010 at the Doña Dominga Hall, GregDom Building, SDCA Campus.
This is the time wherein all members of the institution come together for some light moments. There were special performances by the “Admin Girls” composed of administrative members and “Kuya Nelson”. |

St. Dominic College of Asia hosted a free learning session on its TAFE Commercial Cookery program last April 6, 2010 at the Al Fresco, SDCA campus.
Mr. Phil Cox, Institute Director of TAFE – South Western Sydney Institute, was the guest speaker during the event while TAFE – Philippines Director of Studies and SDCA resident chef Justin David headed the cooking demonstration together with the other chefs June Peralta, Chester Dapo and Michelin Galang – Dapo. |

The recently concluded Mr.& Ms. SDCA 2010 crowned Ma. Hessa Saeki and Mikko Panganiban as the new Ambassadors of Goodwill. The coronation night was held last March 5, 2010 at the SDCA Grounds.16 candidates from the four schools vied for the titles, and Nursing and Hospitality Management students emerged as the night’s winners. |

St. Dominic College of Asia forged a deal to have current TAFE students do their on-the-job training in various Foodparks by Raintree Inc. restaurants. The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding was held at the Food Patio of PBCom Plaza, Ayala Avenue, Makati City last January 20, 2010. |

| SDCA to represent Cavite in CHED Academic and Cultural Festival Regional Finals |

St. Dominic College of Asia Is the official representative of the province of Cavite in the Commissioner of Higher Education Academic and Cultural Festival Regional Finals to be held at De La Salle University – Lipa in Batangas on January 23, 2010.
SDCA will be represented by Silver Bless Gonzales, Arnel and Benitez and Mario Agustin in the events. Ms. Johanna Carvajal and Mr. Gino Vinluan of the School of Arts, Sciences and Education (SASE) will serve as their coaches. SASE Dean Dr. Jaime Ang is chosen to be one of the judges in the said event.
Ms. Evelyn Santos (Assistant Registar) and Mr. Roy Medalle (Office of Student Life Director) will also be part of the delegation. |

St. Dominic College of Asia held its annual Christmas party last December 18, 2009 and many fun and enjoyable activities packed the entire day celebration.
The day kicked off with a party for the children of the staff and faculty members. Games such as Bring Me, Stop Dance among others brought joy and laughter to the little ones. Office of Student Life Coordinator Geon Sta. Ana and Central Colleges Student Council President Jeff Torrento hosted the children's party. |

Erwin Ceniza, a 4th Year Hospitality Management student, won 2nd place in the Tanduay Rhum - sponsored Flairtending Competition held last December 11, 2009 at PMMS.
Likewise, 3rd Year HM student Lester Mascardo grabbed the special award as Best in Personality in the said competition.

Ms. Jill Van Der Kooi, Managing Director of WorldSmart Manpower Pty. Ltd., paid a visit to St. Dominic College of Asia last November 13, 2009. She is keen on providing SDCA linkages in Australia, specifically for the college’s Caregiver program. WorldSmart is a manpower agency based in Australia. Ms. Van Der Kooi went to the country to create affiliations with local colleges which will be able to provide graduates that can possibly work in the Land Down Under. |
