SDCA Perfect Vision 2020: EDUCATION BEYOND BORDERS

As we take on a new chapter caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, St. Dominic College of Asia is challenged to go beyond the ordinary. The management had several meetings to discuss how SDCA can deliver more than what is expected while providing quality and revolutionized education.

SDCA, being a dynamic and proactive institution, has seen an opportunity to go beyond borders by offering new methods in teaching and breaking the barriers. For this academic year, SDCA is fully embracing digital transformation with the help of our advanced Learning Management Systems (LMS) that are most capable to connect our students and teachers.

Pre-school and elementary students will be using Genyo, while our junior high school and senior high school will be using Quipper.

With GENYO and QUIPPER, students can:

  • • Have access to digital textbooks, anytime and anywhere,
  • • Access digital lessons assigned to them by their teachers which they can also review offline,
  • • Better monitor their progress in exams through automated assessment tools,
  • • Explore the world from their desks,
  • • Have the freedom to learn at their own pace, and
  • • Experience learning in a fun way, and collaborate with their teachers and peers through Announcement Board, Forum, Blog, and Messages.

Meanwhile, SDCA Higher Education and Graduate Studies, students will be using Blackboard. Blackboard is the largest education technology and services company in the world. With Blackboard, students can stay organized, receive curated notifications about their courses, view course content and track progress, and personalize their learning experience that fits their needs and learning preferences. It also enables face-to-face online learning anytime and anywhere, with any computer and mobile devices.

SDCA has been on top of the game in digital transformation in Cavite province, and we continue to innovate new systems that are useful for our stakeholders.

SDCA instructors were trained with our Learning Management Systems to ensure that students get the best quality education.

As we press on digital learning, we now open our doors for Filipinos and foreign students residing abroad. SDCA will now open schedules dedicated to international classes with the help of our industry-seasoned faculty.

This academic year may be different and challenging, and SDCA is ready with the new normal in education, BEYOND BORDERS!
