Students, faculty and staff of St. Dominic College of Asia recently participated in the 34th National Milo Marathon along Roxas Blvd.,Manila last July 04, 2010. The said activity aims to promote wellness and sportsmanship among the members of the academic community. This will also considered community outreach program since a portion of the registration fee provided children with running shoes.
This is the 2nd time that St. Dominic College of Asia has participated in the marathon. According to Mr. Jonathan Velustria Sta. Ana, Chair for Student Leadership, “Next year we will strengthen the campaign so that more students will participate since Milo Marathon promote wellness and community outreach as well which is in line with our corporate social responsibility”
The very first Milo National Marathon was held on May 26, 1974 with a total of 767 runners and it has now become the biggest running event in the Philippines.
