The 3rd and 4th year nursing students of the School of Nursing and Allied Health Studies participated in a seminar workshop entitled “Ensuring Client Safety: Review of Key Concepts in Medical-Surgical Nursing” held last July 03, 2010 at the Tagaytay International Convention Center. The speaker of the said seminar is Dr. Joyce Black the author of Medical Surgical Clinical Management for Positive Outcomes.
The seminar tackled the concept of client safety, security and privacy in clinical practice. The nursing students of SDCA learned the current test plan and particular activity statements to ensure client safety, security and privacy. Dr. Black also shared and introduced the US NCLEX design to prepare students for the upcoming board examination. Effective methods were also discussed to improved test scores. The participants learned to familiarize themselves in Computer Adaptive Testing approach to examinations.

The seminar was also attended by other nursing schools. The members of Central College Student Council (CCSC) graced the event with the “Sayaw sa Bangko” dance during the intermission.
