SDCA held its annual Freshmen Welcome Ceremony last June 15, 2010 with many activities both for the students and the parents. The whole day activity was capped off by the Red Party in the afternoon.
The new Dominican students were greeted and welcomed by their ates and kuyas in school, as well as the staff and administrators of the institution. They, and their parents, were able to get acquainted to the people of the Dominican community. A campus tour for the students was held for them to be accustomed to the entirety of the school. Simultaneous with the campus tour was the Parent’s Forum, held at the Dona Dominga Andaman Hall, and this is where the parents were able to know more about the institution they have entrusted their children to. They were also given the chance to ask queries regarding the services and benefit both the college and the hospital (St. Dominic Medical Center) give.
In the afternoon, the much – anticipated Red Party was held at the Skyline. The freshies and the “old” students of SDCA showcased their talents. A student – band also performed to the delight of the newcomers. A raffle draw was also held at the end of the event.
The newly – finished mural at the lobby of the GregDom Building was also inaugurated.
