Since handwritten transcriptions were often prone to misinterpretation, medical transcription, the conversion of patients’ medical records to typewritten format was developed. And nowadays, MT services are spurred by the growing population of the older age groups who receive treatments and procedures that require proper documentation.
The curriculum of this six –month program aims to provide the students with a mastery of medical terminology, good communication skills, and computer literacy in preparation for the rapidly increasing demand for MT services today.
Curriculum:
Introduction to Medical Transcription - 20 hrs
Communication Skills - 40 hrs
Business Technology with Computer Literary - 20 hrs
Medical Terminology and Practice Transcription - 160 hrs
Audio Transcription - 200 hrs
On-The-Job Training - 320 hrs

Morning (8:00am – 1:00pm, from Monday thru Friday)
Afternoon (1:00pm – 6:00pm, from Monday thru Friday)
