SDCA celebrates World Teacher’s Day

St. Dominic College of Asia through the Central College Student Council and other accredited student organizations spearheaded the World Teacher’s Day 2016: Education for 21st Century last October 5 at the Al Fresco Hall.


The program started with a thanksgiving mass, followed by the registration at the Information Center where the teachers had their photos taken and received a token of courtesy from School of Business and Computer Studies organizations and AB Communication for the photobooth.

School of International Hospitality and Tourism Management students provide a free breakfast for the teachers at the GregDom Lobby.

The Dominican Dance Company showcased a dance number followed by the opening remars of the Vice-President for academics and Reasearch, Dr. Nilda W. Balsicas

Psychology Society facilitated the raffle while CCSC led the awarding of Most Liked Teacher which was won by Prof. Emilie Dizon and Prof. Sunny Uba both from SASE.

The traditional offering of flowers and pinning ceremony followed while the SDCA Tagintinig and Combancheros Dominicanos performed a song number which served as tribute for teachers. Education students also paid tribute to the Basic Education Teachers.

The School of Health Sciences Profession organizations managed the wellness hub which consist of glucose testing, massage, blood pressure checking, and free tea and ginger drink. They also offered hook game which provide joy and excitement to the teachers.
